Why am I writing this? Well, when I was thinking of buying Socrates Theme, there wasn’t many real reviews around and the ads and other sales copy just seemed like hype. I still bought it to test drive. Boy, was I surprised!

So, I thought I’d do a quick write-up to help any of you who are in the same position I was.

As with all reviews from this site, I’ll be going into the good and the bad points of Socrates Theme, so if that’s not something you want to read, you might may as well leave now.

My first impressions of Socrates Theme:

When I first unpacked the Socrates Theme into WordPress on my domain, it seemed like a large set of files, but I later found out that it was because of all the features Socrates has. There were also several settings to be set and again that was due to all the features.

What Got My Attention About Socrates Theme

Choosing a header and background for my blog was too easy, espeacially after struggling with different programs and themes that made it so hard. I had always wanted to customize the look of my blog and not just settle for what ‘came in the box’.

Who would benefit from purchasing Socrates Theme:

The multiple domain license is a super value because it’s only 30 bucks more than the single domain license, a no brainer (if you ask me)! If the cost was higher, I would have paid it. It’s worth it.

What I think was left out of Socrates Theme:

I can’t think of anything they missed with this one. Everytime I log into the admin area I expect to see something new from Joel Comm, creator of the Socrates Theme, he’s always adding or fine tuning one feature after another. For many publishers, Socrates Theme is all that’s needed to turn out a super blog or website.

Proof that Socrates Theme really works:

The fact that I’m using the Socrates Theme on this very site should be proof enough that I fully endorse this product and it really does work. Like a having your rich uncle’s credit card!
